Announcing the Provisional 2024 Calendar!

15 November 2023

What a phenomenal year of racing we were treated to with Miata Trophy! Each race produced moments of magic throughout the grid, with competitors constantly dueling for each and every point available to them. Anticipation for Miata Trophy’s second season had already began to rise, but with the announcement of the 2024 Provisional Calendar excitement levels have reached fever pitch.

The calendar is truly enviable, with eight separate race meetings spanning the finest circuits the UK has to offer. Sixteen races present the perfect platform for thrilling action, with drivers needing to be at their very best throughout the season if they want to top the championship standings come season end in October.

Miata Trophy’s 2024 season is set to start on April 13th at Silverstone. This will be a debut for the championship, having not visited the prestigious circuit in 2023. It will be gripping to see which drivers best their classes and secure the first silverware of the year, on the dynamic National configuration. From one prestigious circuit to the next, Miata Trophy is set for an epic second round on the highly sought-after Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit. The configuration is one that Mazda MX-5 drivers don’t get to experience often and it certainly isn’t one to be missed. The cracking extended Grand Prix loop is as equally challenging as it is rewarding. Excitement doesn’t stop there either, as next up is a scheduled trip to Donington Park. The Leicestershire circuit remains a firm favourite for the MSVT Racing paddocks and it’s easy to see why. We eagerly anticipate a fantastic battle for the podium places and those vital championship points on the National configuration.

Rounding out the first half of the season is a visit to a circuit that boasts one of the most idyllic backdrops in British motorsport – Anglesey. The breathtaking venue hosted a truly phenomenal Miata Trophy race in 2023 and we expect more of the same in 2024. That being said, if the next visit to Anglesey is even half as thrilling as the last, we’re in for a classic! The tricky, technical Snetterton 300 circuit is next up on the provisional calendar. An August meeting in Snetterton will be enjoyable for both driver and spectator, as we enter the second half of the 2024 season. Miata Trophy is then set to head North for a debut at Cadwell Park. The undulating, winding Lincolnshire Wolds circuit will challenge competitors and their machinery, through a variety of tight corners and flowing bends.

Then, just as it did in 2023, the picturesque Oulton Park is set to host the penultimate round of the 2024 season. Two classes of Mazda MX-5s will duke it out through the Cheshire countryside for the podium places and those increasingly important championship points. It’ll then be time for the championship to head back to Kent for what should be an epic season finale. Champions will need to be decided and crowned, over the course of two races on Brands Hatch’s iconic Indy configuration.

There’s a lot to be excited about!
