It's time for our second race meeting of the year!

09 May 2023

Miata Trophy had a sensational opening round on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit at the end of April, so there’s little surprise the excitement levels for the second race meeting of the year are high.

Anglesey’s Trac Môn circuit is the venue for rounds three and four of the debut Miata Trophy season, offering Mk1 and Mk3 Mazda MX-5s the idyllic backdrop for some fantastic racing. The picturesque circuit offers an array of challenges for competitors to contend with, from fast flowing bends to the incredibly tricky Corkscrew. Made difficult by it’s sharp change in both camber and elevation, the Corkscrew is tough to master, but the exceptional section of track is certainly one that thrills when got right. Overlooking the Irish Sea and Snowdonia mountain range, Trac Môn is sure to stun all those in attendance – particularly first timers!

SuperPole duly entertained on Miata Trophy debut, with Aidan Hills (Hills Motorsport #8) taking the honors of topping the inaugural NC Class session and Steve Foden (CRS) replicating that feat in NA Class. The question is, will it be these two who top their sessions again this time out in Wales? With the highly competitive nature of the opening rounds in Kent, you can be sure there will be plenty of keen challengers vying to not just top the SuperPole session, but the two sprint races too.
